To do this we need Foobar the media player
1. Drag your mp3 files into foobar
2. All files will now be selected. While keeping all files selected, right click and choose "file operations" / "move".
3. In the window that appears, you can manage the output folder generation based on variables. As you can see, %filename% is already filled in. You can create a new folder structure and filename based on the variables of your choosing. Here is an overview of all the available variables.
- Artist – %artist%
- Album Artist – %album artist%
- Year – %date%
- Genre – %genre%
- Title – %title%
- Track Artist – %track artist%
- Track No. – %tracknumber%
- Total Tracks – %totaltracks%
- Disc No. – %discnumber%
